Beginning his career at GTH as a tech in our panel shop Mike now managers our engineers in Reno. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran and is driven by his passion for technology. As Technical Manager he is mentoring the next generation of engineers at GTH.

Chuck joined GTH in 1954 as a part-time employee and grew under the mentorship of our founder. Named President in 1975, his decades of leadership shaped company culture and direction, he now serves as Chairman of the Board.

Our History

The Beginning of a Legacy

1932

George Hall starts the George T. Hall Company (GTH) as a manufacturer and distributor of trailers and butane heaters

1954

Chuck Niemann, GTH’s current Chairman of the Board, lands his first job at GTH

1954

1955

GTH discontinues trailer business to focus on controls full time

1962

Expansion begins with the opening of our first branch office in East Los Angeles, CA

1962

1965

GTH is officially incorporated

1969

Expansion continues with the opening of our San Diego, CA office

1969

1971

GTH opens an additional office in Long Beach, CA

1975

George Hall retires and Chuck Niemann is named as President

1975

1977

GTH opens additional offices in Ventura, CA and Colton, CA

1979

GTH headquarters moves from Los Angeles to Anaheim, CA

GTH acquires Jack Ray in North Hollywood, CA

Acquisition of Controlco Systems and integrates the UL panel shop into GTH headquarters

Acquisition of AIC which expanded GTH operations into Nevada
