Description:

The George T. Hall Company, a leader in Systems Integration and Distribution for Industrial, Combustion and Building Controls in California & Nevada, is searching for a Warehouse Clerk to function in the Lead position for our Anaheim, CA office. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized and able to work in a team environment. 

The Warehouse Clerk - Lead will be responsible for accurately shipping and receiving product into the Anaheim warehouse, maintaining inventory and organizational integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Guide and direct other warehouse personnel based on job duties and directions from management. Receive all inbound product accurately by checking shipment with vendor packing list, paying specific attention to condition of shipment and verify product count. Enter inventory product into the Eclipse system. Distribute inbound shipment as required, stock in warehouse, distribute to staff or notify contact of arrival of specific item. Responsible for ensuring shortages, damaged product and other discrepancies are communicated as appropriate for resolution. Mark and label supplies and equipment according to procedures. Continual monitoring of new shipping tickets throughout the workday.

Prepare all outbound orders for shipment as determined by shipping ticket, including pulling product from stock, packing and shipping via UPS StarShip or other carrier as required. Manage workload to ensure required ship date is met. Pull will-call orders and deliver with acknowledgment at will-call area for pick-up.

General duties include: Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness. Pick-up and deliver mail to US Post Office daily; calculate and print postage for outgoing mail; print end of day UPS report according to procedure. Comply with stock rotation procedure. Perform stock checks for sales staff. Perform misc. errands and deliveries as necessary. Provide assistance to staff with moving heavy objects. Perform regular light janitorial services for branch. Responsible for maintenance of lift.

Inspect orders for accuracy and completeness regarding account coding and cost calculations.

Physical Abilities:
Ability to stand, climb, bend and reach for the majority of the day
Ability to sit at an elevated work space using a stool to access computer
Ability and desire to become certified to operate forklift
Ability to handle packages of up to 50 pounds
Ability to maneuver through office and shop area

Education and Experience Required:
2-3 years of shipping/receiving experience
Basic math & keyboarding skills
Basic knowledge of windows based programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to learn inventory software program.
Strong commitment to accuracy and detail 
Good verbal and written communication skills
Clean driving record
