Economizers
Honeywell Economizers don't heat or cool anything, they simply bring in cool, fresh, outdoor air to help cool a building naturally. When outdoor conditions are favorable for cooling, the Economizer brings in fresh cool outdoor air. If the outdoor conditions aren't favorably, the system uses air conditioning.
Demand Control Ventilation (DCV)
Using a Honeywell Economizer with Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) can reduce your energy costs as much as 40 percent, depending on geographic region and building usage. DCV primarily cuts energy costs by preventing a space from being over-ventilated. When the Economizer senses that a space is not 100 percent occupied, the DCV reduces outdoor air intake and the energy required to condition the outdoor air. Honeywell Economizers with Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) can also reduce your energy costs through the most basic method of all: lower rates. In many cases, you can work with your utility company to get energy rebates when Econizers are properly installed.
