Indoor Air Quality

Indoor Air Quality

Much attention has been given of late to the hazards of improper building ventilation. "Sick Building Syndrome" occurs when not enough fresh air is brought into a space. Occupants can feel fatigue and headaches in addition to a noticeable loss of productivity. The flip side of this phenomenon is over-ventilation which means for the amount of people in the space, the system is actually bringing in too much fresh air. This results in higher energy bills as the system struggles to maintain temperature in an ever-changing space. The solution for both of these dilemmas is Demand Control Ventilation (DCV). DCV systems utilize CO2 sensors to monitor the amount of fresh air required to maintain healthy air quality levels. Contact your local GTH branch today for more information.
