The George T. Hall Company, a leader in control system integration for process controls in Nevada & California, is searching for a Control System Specialist / Engineer for our Las Vegas, NV location. As part of our engineering team you will have the opportunity to lead the local office in the execution of Process Control system projects.

Our ideal candidate has the ability to use their existing skills or comparable work experience to develop, troubleshoot and startup PLC applications such as Rockwell ControlLogix® systems and Wonderware System Platform.

Experience with control systems as found in the water & wastewater industry desired, including but not limited to:

  • PLC Systems
  • SCADA
  • HMI
  • Process Instrument Calibration and Startup

As an integral member of our engineering team, you will work closely with Project Managers and other technical staff within GTH. Your ability to effectively communicate with other remote office team members and customers is key to our success.

Tasks:
  • Review Specifications and P&IDís for programming requirements
  • Assist with developing testing and training plans for equipment per specifications
  • Startup and test process control systems
  • Troubleshoot, test and document PLC I/O systems
  • Troubleshoot, test and document SCADA systems

Additional Skills Required:

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to use loop testing and calibration tools
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours per day while working
  • Understanding of basic AC and DC power circuits as utilized in control systems
  • Ability to read and analyze ladder diagrams and PLC I/O drawings
  • PLC and SCADA programming experience
  • Clear driving record
  • Computer knowledge including Ethernet Networking, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Adobe.
