Description:

Hall Company, a leader in control system integration and distribution for process controls in Nevada and California, is searching for a Control System Engineer or Technician for our Reno, NV location. Were a diverse group of individuals that come together and execute numerous projects in different industries including manufacturing, water treatment and mining to name a few. We offer an environment that will provide growth for you and the company.Our ideal candidate should have some experience with developing and troubleshooting PLC software applications, in addition to experience with common process control instrumentation and equipment including but not limited to:
  • PLC Systems
  • Wireless communications
  • HMI or SCADA
  • Motor Controls / VFDs
  • Water Quality Analyzers
As an integral member of our engineering team, you will work closely with Project Managers and other  technical staff within GTH.Your ability to effectively communicate with other team members and customers is key to our success.

Tasks:

  • Develop and review Instrument Data Sheets per project requirements or specifications
  • Review Specifications and P&IDs for instrumentation requirements
  • Develop Bill of Materials for assigned projects
  • Manage project work flow and documentation as assigned
  • Assist with developing testing and training plans for equipment per specifications
  • Troubleshoot field instrumentation problems
  • Document and calibrate instrumentation
  • Assist with further refinement of internal standard operation procedures
  • Assist other field technicians with testing or installations
  • Troubleshoot, test and document PLC I/O systems
  • Assist with panel fabrication and wiring if required

Requirements:

The qualified individual will be responsible for making regular sales calls with local Engineers, Contractors, Industrial and Commercial end users in the Northern Nevada territory for the purpose of building relationships with clients and selling GTH products and project services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to use loop testing and calibration tools
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours per day while working
  • Understanding of basic AC and DC power circuits as utilized in control systems
  • Ability to read and analyze basic ladder diagrams and PLC I/O drawings
  • Clear driving record (Class C Nevada License)
  • Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Adobe.
  • Ability to travel overnight and out of state to meet project schedules
